At the Center for Attitudinal Change, we are committed to supporting vulnerable populations affected by violence and conflict in Nigeria. We commenced an ongoing project on mental health intervention for victims of terrorism focuses on providing rehabilitation and therapy services to displaced victims, with a special emphasis on the girl child. This project is being carried out according to the World Health Organisation Mental Health Action Plan for 2023. It also covers SDG 3, 4, and 5. The project is divided into two phases:

Start Date:
April, 2023
01. Phase: Rehabilitation and Therapy Sessions
The first phase of the project focuses on providing rehabilitation and therapy services to victims of terrorism who have been displaced from their homes. Our team of mental health professionals work closely with each individual to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses their specific mental health needs. Our services may include individual and group therapy, trauma-focused interventions, and psychosocial support. Our goal is to help each individual regain a sense of safety, security, and resilience as they cope with the impacts of terrorism.
02. Phase: Recycling back into the Society
The second phase of the project focuses on providing skill acquisition and internship opportunities for victims of terrorism as a means of reintegrating them back into society. We believe that empowering individuals with practical skills and work experience is essential for promoting self-sufficiency and reducing the risk of future victimization. Our team works with local partners to identify relevant training and internship opportunities, and we provide ongoing support and mentorship to ensure that participants are able to thrive in their new roles.
